In 2020, Digicon began a partnership with a Dutch company to distribute the brand’s products to the markets of Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Due to their high capacity and professionalism, the company quickly expanded to other markets such as Romania, Italy, and Denmark.

Considering the partners’ great interest in deepening their knowledge about Digicon’s products, the distributor showed the need to update its team. Thus, Digicon developed a training program for its Catrax, dTower, dGate, and dFlow product lines, divided into two stages – remote and face-to-face.

In the first stage, participants were granted access to a virtual learning platform with graphics, technical drawings, presentations, videos, and a test to assess their knowledge. This stage began in December 2022 and extended until early January 2023.

The second stage, held face-to-face in the Netherlands, took place between January 23rd and 27th, 2023, and featured the presence of a Digicon product specialist. With over ten years in the company, the technician has participated in implementing systems in important installations such as hospitals, factories, and airports.

The training was focused on the practical learning of participants about product configuration, installation, and maintenance. This training model is available for all Digicon partners.

The BCBP (Boarding Pass with Barcode) dFlow allows you to read the barcode in the physical ticket and the digital version on the smartphone, through barcode or QR codes. Despite being heavy, Digicon’s access controllers need a safe packaging for its storage and transport. The goal is to make the production processes more sustainable, so Digicon searched an alternative to avoid the disposal of materials that cannot be reused. Also, these packages needed to be easy to assemble, optimizing the transport and lowering the risks for the employees.

Intelligent and Sustainable solution

The solution found by WestRock, Digicon’s partner since 2019, was the usage of a highly resistant corrugated cardboard, able to support 35kg (77lbs) access controllers. It is important to note that the new packages are sized accordingly to the product, protecting against impacts and vibrations, which makes the packages safer.

These new boxes are biodegradable and recyclable and there is no need of fumigation, a requirement in the Agriculture Ministry. These modifications made Digicon a more sustainable company and lowering logistic costs, since the new boxes are lighter. This material’s assembling process is also easier.

Another important factor in the modification of the packages was the image of the product. “The new solution also made the presentation more clean and informative, also facilitated the wrapping process, that used to be complex and a lot of materials were needed. The new package is also lighter, which contributes to the ergonomics and it is easier to handle”, says Filipe Lemes Nunes, Digicon’s product manager.

New pallets

Besides the packaging, WestRock also supplies Digicon with corrugated cardboard pallets. These pallets replace the wooden ones, improving space usage and easing the storage and disposal. These pallets take up to two tons and can be moved supporting more than 600kg (1.322,77lbs).

Both have an aluminum cabinet with epoxy-powder painting and mounting on columns or base, embedded programmer, 110 – 240 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz operation, GPS clock synchronisms, and monitoring of conflicting greens and burnt out red lamps. All Controller models allow connection to the WEB Traffic Center, which allows the total management of equipment with a cloud system.

Central Traffic Vision Web: all system operations in one software

Aiming to make time and attendance process safer for the workers, Digicon developed DigiREP. The device, designed in accordance with Ordinance 1510/2009 of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, was developed to ensure that the registered hours actually worked could not be altered in any way. For 2017, Digicon presents its new version of time and attendance device: the dClock. From INMETRO Ordinance 595/2013, the body responsible for the safety and certification processes of REP’s, dClock introduces innovations that aim to ensure that the equipment data are authentic and do not undergo changes. Digital signature on all outputs, a button that shows the identifiers of the internal programs and a digitally signed proof of registration are some of the new security features of the dClock. The technology also added the features of internal memories with data retention for at least ten years, and new mechanisms to identify if the printer paper is jammed.

Mais do que isso, eles também precisam de locais adaptados para a sua circulação e para a sua cidadania. Para eles, um controle de acesso mais funcional na entrada de prédios e condomínios, que permita a sua livre movimentação, se torna mais do que um detalhe, se torna essencial.

Aos 17 anos, Bruno Mahfuz sofreu um acidente que acabou lhe deixando cadeirante, e ao longo de sua vida, acabou enfrentando muitas dificuldades em relação à acessibilidade. O que parecia um problema, se tornou um desafio: ele criou o guiaderodas, uma iniciativa para auxiliar outras empresas, que se enxergam com um diferencial estratégico, a pensar em acessibilidade.
