Gramado modernizes its on-street parking operation

New Digicon Street Parking Meters  offer more payment options to users.

Gramado has renewed the concession contract for the operation of its on-street parking with Rek Parking – system operator.

The controlled areas known as “blue areas” already use Self-Service Terminals, known as Parking meters that, among other functions, receive payments, issue vouchers and even have integrated security cameras.

To meet the requirements of the new contract, Rek Parking counted once again on Digicon’s technology and innovation. The challenge included more modern equipment capable of efficiently meeting the city’s demand and its large flow of tourists.

The solution chosen was the new Terminal Street. Among the latest updates, the equipment allows payment by credit and debit cards (besides coins and prepaid cards already available in the previous version), has a new solar panel with higher capacity (20W) for battery charging, 3G communication, which allows online operation, and charging by typing the vehicle’s license plate and the space used.

Terminal Street is a robust, reliable and simple to operate solution. Its 4.3″ color graphic monitor provides clear and visible information that makes navigation much easier and more accessible for different types of users.

The installation of the new Street Terminals was carried out in July 2020. With the upgrade, Gramado now has a more complete, innovative and efficient parking service.
